On This, The Day Of His Second Wedding I Ask Is Charles Gay?
Edited on Sat Apr-09-05 03:53 PM by DistressedAmerican
Personally, I don't have much of an opinion.

But, I just remembered that about a year ago allegations were made about him having some inappropriate relations with his personal valet.

What ever became of that whole thing anyway? It just sort of petered out (so to speak).

Charles embroiled in rapidly growing gay-sex scandal
By Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY

Prince Charles is in the middle of a gay-sex scandal and media frenzy that just won't quit.

Butler-turned-biographer Paul Burrell says he has an audiotape describing a sexual encounter between Prince Charles and a male aide.
By John Stillwell, AP

The heir to England's throne spent Sunday night — just as he returned from a 10-day trip to India and the Persian Gulf — holding what some in the British press referred to as "crisis talks" with son Prince William, companion Camilla Parker Bowles and other aides to determine the next step in quelling the story.

For the past week, newspapers have been trumpeting a story being told by former palace servant George Smith, 43, who worked for Charles for 11 years until 1997.

Smith says he witnessed a sexual incident involving Prince Charles and a former male royal aide. He says he recorded what he saw on an audiotape and gave the tape to Princess Diana. Now, the tape is in the hands of Paul Burrell, Diana's former butler.

Is The Future King A Queen?
by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

(London) Details are finally emerging about allegations Britain's Prince Charles had a sexual affair with one of his aides, Michael Fawcett.

So concerned are Charles' supporters about suggestions he could be bisexual, they have succeeded in getting a court order banning publication in the UK of any of the details. The Prince then took the extraordinary step of issuing a denial of the allegations.

"Anyone who knows the Prince of Wales at all would appreciate that the allegation is totally ludicrous and, indeed, risible," the Prince's secretary Sir Michael Peat said in an unprecedented statement on the matter.

The boyfriend?

But, with the media unable to to print what it was he was denying having done, it served to worsen the crisis.

While British papers are under a gag order preventing them from saying much about the charge, made by a former servant, that hasn't stopped the foreign media from seizing on every lurid detail.

3. That matters little.
She might be a sex goddess to him. He's no sex god himself, but sometimes the oddest people find each other and end up in flaming love affairs.

Something's going on between them. They've been together for decades.

2. Well, if I were him now, after marrying that?
I certainly would be gay! I know, I know. I'm being snarky and immature. Such is life.

17. Someone told me you've created a few lesbians yourself.
Edited on Sat Apr-09-05 03:59 PM by MollyStark
Is that true?
I told the person it was a silly thing to say. People are either gay or they are not.

taped phone conversation I've always figured he's a little nuts, but that's just me.

7. No shit.
I've heard some of my straight friends say worse. Besides, haven't we all made what could be construed as grotesque comments--and thank god our conversations weren't being recorded.

If some of my phone conversations had been recorded and I were famous, I'd be on every tabloid cover as a raging sex pervert.

It's just because he's famous and his supposedly confidential phone conversations were recorded that we even know what he said.

6. Please, guys, quit making fun of her.
She may not be your ideal beauty on the outside, but you don't know her, nor do you know why he's attracted to her. Evidently, whatever they have is very intense, for him to have been seeing her for decades.

He loves her. We don't know why...and aren't we the people who usually say that it's what's on the inside, not the outside, that matters?

what ever became of the allegations.

I'm with you. Leave the poor woman alone. After all she has to sleep with the guy.

What about him?

(OK, Not to pile on but I did have a funny typo I thought I'd report: Camzilla. Maybe there are no accidents? Who knows.)

22. Seriously.
I'm gay, but I tell ya what, If I was going to play it straight I sure as hell would have picked Diana over Camilla. I think the fact that Charles did choose, the perhaps less attractive, Camilla over Diana is a sign that there is some deep true love there!

But that's just my 2¢.

11. For a while I was hoping he would replace Camilla with Condi and
remove one of the worst excuses for a public servant we have had in a long time. With your post, dare I hope he would marry GW instead and make our country whole again?

If any future President confers the Medal of Freedom on Charles, it will be the most deserving of such awards.

Many of those English aristocratic types are. Since Camilla seems to have no problem with an open marriage, she's probably open to this as well.
