NASCAR Announcement
A NASCAR spokesman issued the following statement, “Due to the ever increasing price of fuel and the impending shortage of this important commodity, NASCAR would like to announce today, that the Indianapolis 500, for this upcoming Memorial Day, will be the first NASCAR race in which the pit crews will push the vehicles around the track.”

Immediate reaction from racing fans was expressed by Herbert D Fugwell of Moline, Indiana, “Well dang, how are the pit crews going to get the speed that results in some of them spectacular crashes we are all conditioned to look for?”

A well-know sportscaster offered, “I think this is going to result in the race not finishing for a week or so, depending on how the pit crews hold up.”

2. I will watch NASCAR ...
when they start using alternate energy sources. Even Hybrid technology would be interesting. Reduce the amount of fuel allowed.

Cheers
Drifter

3. We-ellll....it's about time!!!
:eyes: That damn example of conspicuous consumption is going the way of the dinosaur.

BTW....is Moline, Indiana anywhere near Moline, Illinois? Which actually is on the Iowa border?

Never knew there were two towns of that name.
