Look ma, no cavities!
All right, went to a dentist one of Mr Beastman's coworkers suggested. The guy told me I had 4 cavities and Mr B even more. We were so in shock at the sticker price he gave us to fix it, we waited until January and swicthed to my job's dental insurance that covers more. So, we went to my dentist that I went to before I got married...guess what? I have no cavities and Mr B has about two things that need to be done(about 1/4 the $ other dentist quoted)

WTF!?

1. You know what I'd do?
I'd go back to the first dentist office and ask for my records (in the form of a new quote to get the teeth fixed). Then I would take those records along with the records from the second dentist to my friendly neighborhood reporter.

Also, I'd definitely be making a report to the Better Business Bureau.

2. Cute puppy!
BBB could work, I was going to call and talk to them about a refund for the cleanings and such.

4. See if your state has a Board of Dental Examiners
and send them a written complaint.

3. 2nd opinions never hurt
I was told over 20 years ago I needed 4 crowns asap. I never got them. I now have 3 crowns, all within the past 10 years or so.

Luckily I went to a dental school and got a 2nd opinion and was told I did not need any crowns so I never got them and told this rip-off dentist of the opinion which he staunchly denied to be untrue.

I had insurance at that time that was very good. The dentist was trying to gouge me plain and simple.

Later, I briefly went to a dentist that had money invested in thoroughbred horse racing. His prices weren't cheap either come to think of it.
