I saw "Garden State" this past weekend. |
|
I was kind of...underwhelmed, I guess.

2. Best movie I have seen in at least three years |
|
Extremely well done especially considering how cheaply it was made.
Zach Braff is very talented-I knew he was in the movie but it wasn't until the first credit popped up that I knew that he wrote and directed it too. Exec.Producer of the soundtrack too (I can't stop listening to that damned thing).

3. I kind of liked how understated it was. |
|
It sort of underscored the lead characters' malaise, I think. Though I will say that I suspect one of the main reasons Zach Braff made the film was there was no other way he could make out with Natalie Portman.

Steve Guttenberg did Three Men and a Little Lady so he could hook up with Ted Danson. Again.
Let that visual fester for a while.

4. I've seen it at least 20 times |
|
I fucking love it. I don't know what it is about it, but it's just one of those movies I can't get enough of.
And the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard.

8. I immediately loved the soundtrack. |
|
Peter Sarsgaard (sp) is one of my favorite young actors, as is Zach Braff and Natalie Portman.
I wasn't blown away by it but it was a sweet and understated little movie.

10. I SO looked forward to it but was so disappointed. The preview |
|
was great - but it makes sense - the movie was mostly a bunch of interesting looking scenes strung together with no real meat - so of course the preview would look good.
