A representative from In-Home Help Services tomorrow...what should I say? |
|
I'm in a lot of pain, but they've turned me down four or five times. My apartment is a total mess...unlivable. Obviously, I can't clean it up for the rep.
What can I say?

Tell them that you are physically unable to keep the area you live in clean, and are having problems with providing food for yourself. At the very least, you need help with that. I'm so sorry you are going through this, LH. I wish there were something more I could do besides send you these hugs...

3. They don't care if you can't keep your house clean. |
|
You have to need bodily help. I needed someone to go shopping for me, so there's that...

source of chronic pain & documentation, whether & which life style/living assistance you feel you need on an on-going basis: cook your own food & do own shopping, wash & dress yourself, stand in the shower, perform personal hygiene, calculate your own household expense', manage money, stuff like that.
if they don't i think they're supposed to. be yourself be honest

5. My heart goes out to you, my dear Ladyhawk! |
|
I think that what everyone else here is saying is right on: be yourself. How I wish I could be there to help you. All I can do is support you emotionally and though that is good, you need more...Please take care of yourself as best you can. Obviously they need to know about your diabetes. That can certainly complicate your life and health if not managed correctly.
Hang in there!
