what the time committment is to be a mod? How do people work around their work schedules?

4. I always intend to apply,

but since the primaries burned me out, I've taken to aggressively goofing around in the Lounge to the almost total exclusion of actual political discussion, so I can't imagine they'd take me. I almost feel as though I'd be wasting the Admins' time by even applying.

Maybe next time I'll actually do it, though - I'd very much like to give something back to DU beyond my meager and irregular monetary donation.
