Not a big superman fan. But I will see it cause it's Bryan Singer directing. Even if he did sort of F and abandon ship on his old franchise which is my favorite of all comic book franchises, cause it's based on my favorite comic.

1. Looks good
Better than Kidder did, I think. She was always the weak link in the first movie.

I'd really like to see the new Superman, but I haven't really bothered findng a picture of him. I love all comic book movies. Except for Daredevil. That sucked.

(Spider-Man rules)

9. It's hard for me to picture anyone but Christopher Reeve in the role
He was so perfectly cast. I also liked Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, and Ned Beatty as his sidekick, Otis.

2. That's just not what I think Lois Lane looks like.
I have no problem with Kate Bosworth, but she just doesn't fit in that role to me. Probably because I watched Lois & Clark.

20. Teri Hatcher will always be the greatest Lois Lane.
That is all. :hi:

3. Isn't Kevin Spacey playing Lex Luthor in this one?

7. Yup
Apparently him and Clark aren't contemporaries in Singer's Superman-verse.

4. She looks fine
Although since I started following Superman when I was 8 or so I'll always think of the characters as being somewhat older than me, not younger!

And about Superman, isn't it too bad the Nicolas Cage deal fell through? :)

8. Routh is the same age as Christopher Reeve was when he played him
for the first time.

I think he's great casting. But I usually am way against the majority when it comes to comic book casting. Most people just go with the notion that Jackman as Wolverine is genius when I think it was an awful decision. Same goes with Patrick Stewart as Professor X.

Despite that the X-Men movies are still my favorites.

11. A shame?
I must disagree. I don't think Nick Cage would be a good Superman at all.

I agree with the poster above that it's going to be hard to top Reeve though.

13. He's too old.
Franchising is all the rage these days, and I imagine they've got something in his contract about possible sequels. Which would have helped the Batman franchise, certainly.....which is probably why now they've gone backwards and cast Christian Bale.

I expect the same will happen with Wonder Woman, some young unknown/barely known just into her twenties.

12. She looks AWFUL as a brunette! Who is the hair stylist?
UGH!

She looks washed out....the color is too dark, and it seems they've frizzed it up for no good reason.

I mean, this is what she usually looks like:

Just, eww. And, you mean to tell me they couldn't find *one* brunette that was suitable? I hate the deals made in Hollywood, sometimes.

15. Apparently Spacey got her the part. She was with him in that Bobby Darren
movie.

I dunno if it was a both of us or I'm not doing it type of deal. She is a pretty lame choice in my opinion. But there's only like a few members of the X-Men cast who's casting I think was the best they could have done (Iceman, Cyclops, Mystique, Sabertooth) and they're still my favorite comic book movies.

She might have been great as Lois.

22. Jonathan Antin
He owns a Beverly Hills salon. There was a reality show on him on Bravo called "Blow Out" and he was always bragging how he did Kate Bosworth's hair.

Well...maybe he is her stylist still, who knows? Could be an on-set stylist.

21. Hmm, very controversial. I don't keep up with DC stuff usually
but I have started to now that Singer's on Superman and Whedon's on Wonder Woman. Hey those have rings to them.

Anyway there doesn't seem to be one popular preference on Lois Lanes. I know Howard Stern hates the Lois on Smallville. I dunno why, maybe cause it's too different from what happened in the comics.

23. Meh, that's not how I view Lois Lane.
But then again I feel Teri Hatcher came the closest to portraying and looking like the character as she's been since the 1986 revamp.

They should have just got a natural brunette for the part.
