Or that we are all just circling the drain?

Or is leftofthedial just circling the drain and projecting his drain circling experience?

1. I saw a young salesman at a tiny used car lot,as I drove by.
I thought how this poor guy has to hustle. And it made me think of all the crappy jobs we do to pay the bills. How we should all be doing something better, something we want to do.

3. Aw, dude...
 I think to some extent we are all doing that... trying to make some sense of this life, our experiences, 'the point' so to speak, while we are here. You can look at it that way, or look at it as trying to have the most fun and happiness you can have, while you're here.

Unless you mean financially, and then yes, for a long time, I felt like that.

Have another , they're good for you!

5. thanks for the hugs
It's largely financial, but not entirely.

It just seems like most everything in the world is on some kind of weird downward spiral.

Like it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

7. Financial stuff is hard
It eats at you, that kind of worry... I hope there is a drainplug somewhere in your future :)

It does seem like things are headed towards some sort of all-encompassing bad event, sometimes. Who knows, could be. Those are the days where I have to go walk in the woods or hang out with little kids and remind myself that there is still good in the world, to balance all the bad.

4. I do, and it's weird, I shouldn't feel like this.
I have everything a middle-class lady is supposed to want.

We've got to start the real changes that are necessary to end the circling. We must start living differently. Back to the Earth. Back to one another. or - Forward, really, to Earth and one another through this time and this place.
