Can someone explain collagen in the lips for me?

Do you find it attractive? Do you think some people take it too far?

We were watching CSI tonight and my husband, who normally never notices stuff like this, said Marg Helgenberger's upper lip was not only MUCH bigger, but lopsided, too.

I really don't get it. I mean, I've looked at my face and thought about this or that, but I've NEVER thought "my lips need to be fatter." :shrug:

I guess some people REALLY want full lips. They just look fake as all hell and unattractive. Marg Helgenberger is an attractive woman who didn't need the injections, IMO.

It was really obvious. Especially for the normally oblivious Mr. Bouncy to notice.

AND I think she has lost a bit of weight. So maybe it's both. But the right side of her upper lip was noticeably bigger than the left side. It was weird. And she had 'em all glossed up and greasy looking too.

I don't understand why younger women need to fatten their lips. All lip shapes are sexy in youth and early middle age. Gotta admit that when you're a little older, and your lips begin to thin, I can understand why someone would try to restore their former shape.

But, yeah, I don't get younger women trying to make their natural lip shape into something it isn't. Whatever. It isn't a permanent modification so if they want to play with their look, fine.

And my upper lip will swell up like a balloon, and my lower lip stays normal. Or vice versa. It makes me look like a cartoon fish, no exaggeration.

It is so mortifying to have to go out in public when this happens, because I know people are thinking I'm the victim of a botched collagen job.
