Just put the first 12-ouncer in to broil, covered in lemon-pepper plus a few pats of butter...

Gonna go FLIP it in FIVE minutes!

1. Halal butcher not too far from here has tenderloin for $3.99/lb.
Organic, no less. No hormones or questionable feed.

4. Dude, after all of the PeTA threads today
MUST you post a gratuitous meat thread? We're so weary.

6. Who is "we"?
And since one can assume you don't eat meat, from your username and avatar, why are you even responding to this thread in the first place?

7. Royal "We."
My response to the OP is self-explanatory. Not meant to be offensive (and I do apologize to dicksteele if I came across as such.)

Today was so divisive...the V/V/AR hating in GD and the Lounge was over the top. We lost some people today.

So, that's why I respond less than happily to a "Yay, Meat" thread.

Best,
Queen O' Soyaphile

9. Personally, I have nothing against vegetarians.
As long as they aren't what I call "evangelical vegetarians". If you don't eat meat, that's wonderful, but it's a personal choice that you oughtn't expect everyone else to make.

10. Most of us ain't.
Unfortunately, we're not the ones that do the damage. And, really, we are the majority.

Most of us couldn't give a hoot about what you do, as long as you've thought about it and made a conscious decision about what is important in your life. For most of us...seriously, do what works for you. That's all I ever do.

But we do get painted with a broad brush.

It sucks, and sometimes, it hurts.

11. My SWEETIE is a vegetarian...
She hasn't eaten MEAT since she was 14, and I am not allowed to tell anyone when that was!

But rest assured, I don't own any broad brushes, tofunut!

8. So, howsabout a few steaks for your old pal Zoidberg?
Oh, lucky you!
I worked at a DELI for awhile; I was HAPPY to make MinWage when I could buy stuff at wholesale.

My SO is a vegetarian; and a good 50% of our current food budget is my MEAT!
