Roommates return home to find man wearing their clothes
Edited on Sat Apr-16-05 08:36 AM by atommom
Two Lawrence women returned to their rental house Thursday and found a stranger standing by their front door, wearing one of the women's pajama pants and T-shirt.

Jill Stutler and Anne Sobba, who both work at Eudora West Elementary School, drove home about 4:15 p.m. and discovered that the man had broken through a window and spent the afternoon "making himself at home," Stutler said. He did not appear to have taken any possessions besides the clothes.

"He apparently took a bath or a shower in my bathroom," Stutler said. "I guess he went through my drawers and closet and found something to wear. It looked like he had watched some TV and had some water and ate some M&Ms."

When Stutler found the man, she asked him what he was doing. He responded that he was looking for someone named Jessica but must have had the wrong house. At that point, Sobba said, the man tried to leave and Stutler told him to stay where he was. He obliged.

1. Was he drunk or something?
There was a recent case from my home area where a man who appeared to be confused about where his friend's house was after a party, broke into a house and sat down and played the piano.
That's pretty bad though if this man was that drunk before 4 in the afternoon.

2. I'm assuming he was drunk, on something, or mentally ill.
It reads like a scene from a bad teen movie, doesn't it?

4. It's very sloppy reporting. They don't even say whether he looked pretty.

5. That is scary!
My stepmom told me a story about when she was my age and she lived by herself in an apartment she came home from work one day and found this guy who lived across the hall in her coat closet! He was just sitting on the floor. She ran to a neighbors apartment and called the cops.

I don't know what I would do if I came home to just find someone in my house. Scary shit! :scared: :scared: :scared:
