Poll question: What is the most you'll pay for shoes?
I got some black, red, and white Iverson shoes for a little over $80. I don't like to pay much for shoes but my girlfriend said I NEEDED new shoes and that I should throw my olds away. They look real nice but not as nice as the Michael Vick shoes which were priced at over $130 dollars!!! So I was wondering if anyone had a limit? I did and it was $60 but I wanted these shoes pretty bad.

1. I just paid $99.99 for a pair of Cole-Haan dress shoes at Marshall's.
That is my limit.

3. Cole Haan are good shoes-they usually cost double that
I used to pay lots for shoes, but with the Bush economy, my ceiling is $100-and that is on the rare occasion. For sandals and casual shoes it's $50.

5. That was too good of a deal to pass up.
VERY comfortable shoes, too. I wore them for hours at a wedding, and never felt them.

2. Clothing is a must. Therefore it should be affordable. More importantly,

the majority of clothing out there comes from, you guessed it, sweatshops. I see no need to assist in making the corporate logos like Nike happy.

4. I once spent $100 for shoes...
but that was for a pretty special event.

Normally, I feel weird paying half that.

I got my favorite pair of Doc Martens at the thrift shop for $11. I wear them almost every day.

and be comfortable are a bargain at any price. dress shoes - eh depends on if you actually have to wear them for work - if so better go ahead and pay for durability and comfort - if it's a one time event and you're never going to wear them again go cheap! Personally I go bare foot a lot so I have one GOOD pair of sandals, lots of one to five dollar flip-flops, a couple of good pairs of "walking" shoes and a pair of boots I hate and obviously did not spend enough on (uncomfortable).

Shoes and underwear are the two items I don't do thrift store on. Socks - sure 'cause I can bleach them but too squeamish for underwear and can't be 100% sure about shoes ya know?

edited for horrible spelling and missing letters - think I need to clean this keyboard!

12. I rarely buy new shoes.
But really $75 is my top limit. I prefer Nine West, and you can catch them on sale for around $30-$35.

I also like the DSW store, they have great name brand shoes for a fraction of the price.
