FOUND: One crucifixion nail

I found this on the side of the road as I was waiting for my bus earlier this week. It was amongst several pennies, a Natural Light case, and quite a few spent cigarettes.



It has two little holes in the side, like it was meant to be worn as a piece of jewellry. There was no cord or chain around though.

I thought, "This is an odd thing to find on the road."

1. Oooooohhhh...when Jesus comes back, he will NOT be amused.

Mostly he'll not be amused that an instrument of his torture has become fucking jewelry, and that people are making money off them.

It sort of one-ups the crucifix in terms of morbid symbolism. "Hey, this is a piece of jewellry modelled after the nails that killed my God! I'll take three!"

Purchasing the product or dumping it out of the penny tray of your car onto the side of the road. :shrug:

6. how long is it? it looks like a horseshoe nail...

the little holes may be deliberate weakness points bc when you drive the nail through the hoof, you bend it over and chip the loose end off, presumably where the little holes are. Of course your nail might be like a foot long, so....I dunno :shrug:

13. Those were movie souvenirs.

They were selling those during The Passion of the Christ movie premiere.

I remember seeing them advertised for sale. I don't remember the price. (I saw it on the internet.)
