My niece talked to Al Gore tonight.

She was at a film festival in Nashville and he was there with Tipper and his girls and they sat behind her. She shook his hand and talked for a little bit afterwards. No real news - just cool to see him.

I hear that Al's made a bunch of friends in his new neighborhood, and even contributed to a song.

p.s. if the US doesn't want him as leader, could we borrow him up here in Canada? He's moderate enough to appeal to centrist conservatives, and pretty much all the major national parties want to do something about global warming. Plus, he's more charismatic than our politicians (sorry, Jack Layton!).
