What are your angry albums?
The albums that you listen to when you are just mad.

Here are mine:

Aerosmith-Rocks
Guns and Roses-Appetite for Destruction
Alice In Chains-Dirt
Rage Against The Machine-self-titled, Evil Empire, The Battle for Los Angeles
Van Halen-Fair Warning
Dream Theater-Awake
Ozzy Osbourne-Tribute
AC/DC-Back In Black

1. Killswitch Engage, "The End of Heartache"
Metallica "....And Justice For All."

Check out that Killswitch man. Agressive yet motivational. Good stuff.

2. The collected works of Rage Against the Machine
and some of the others you name. There are a couple good AC/DC live CD's in the Bonfire box set. Foo Fighters have some good angry songs. Garbage 2.0

ummm...I don't remember anymore since I don't listen to angry music as much as I used to.

18. Doesn't that one make you even MORE pissed off?
I remember buying that CD when Poppy was in the White House and thinking the characterization of that incarnation of the Bush Criminal Empire as nazis and fascists might have been just a little overboard. Aside from the obvious mentions of the date "1991" on the album, it actually fits Junior's reich far better than his dad's.

Consolidated never got the credit they deserved. Probably because they just didn't sound as pissed as RATM.

4. Hi, coloradodem2005. Mine is Lou Reed's NEW YORK.
Lou doesn't mince words. There's no beating around the bush with Lou Reed.

In concert once in New York City, Reed, playing with just his guitar, was being heckled repeatedly and obnoxiously by someone in the uppder deck of the hall.

The heckler kept calling out, "Play some rock'n'roll! Play some rock'n'roll!"

Finally Reed got sick of it and put his guitar down in the middle of a song, and said this in the general direction of the heckler:

"Look. this IS rock'n'roll. It's MY rock'n'roll. If you don't like it, get a refund, motherfucker."

Lou doesn't throw chairs when he gets mad. Nevertheless, he's willful enough to put nylons on a cheetah.

The heckler was quiet from that point forward.

6. I'm on that album
Ozzy Osbourne-Tribute. I was in the audience..lol. Most of that was recorded in Cleveland. Actually, you can hear my friend yelling stuff on it.
Let's see.
Alice In Chains is always a good angry album. All of them.
Never Mind The Bullocks by The Sex Pistols
Alice Cooper Band's early stuff
A lot of The Who albums too.

7. Steppenwolf : Monster
Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope
Like good Christians, some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And 'til the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end

While we bullied, stole and bought our homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

The blue and grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war over
They stuffed it just like a hog

And though the past has it's share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But it's protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it's a monster and will not obey
(Suicide)

The spirit was freedom and justice
And it's keepers seem generous and kind
It's leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won't pay it no mind
'Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
And now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told

Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watchin'
Our cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin' the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can't understand
We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner
We can't pay the cost
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watching
(America)
America where are you now?
Don't you care about your sons and daughters?
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster

More true now than ever before. The deLays and the Frists and the *'s just took a while.

2006 cannot come soon enough. We must take our country back.

10. anything by Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel.
http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/reviews/music/1719/

"...The opening vocal on Sick Man sounds like Tom Waits would sound with flu, after a bottle of scotch had washed down a card of Mogadon or something to that effect. That quickly wears off with some neat honky tonk piano building to an inevitable sonic crash. This crash takes the form of an up-tempo interpretation of the original theme from Batman. Lovely.

Street of Shame puts us back in the comfort zone with some funky little bongo work and gets the feet tapping and the fingers snapping once again. This could be a biographical account of himself or his take on the Good versus Evil thing. I don’t know..."

19. Sinners Swing
Danger in the rearview mirror, there's trouble in the wind
Badness bringing up the rear, the menace is loose again
She looks so fucking good, so sexy and so frail
Something got the bite on me, I'm goin' straight to hell

(And now we're wasting time) Now we're wasting time
(Same ol' pickup lines) Same ol' pickup lines
And you keep tryin', (Wow!) don't waste time

Ow, come back to your senses baby, we can come to terms
I can almost t-taste it, it burns
You'd be sittin' pretty but you try to take the fifth
Wearin' out my welcome, guess I better save my breath. Wow!

(And now we're wastin' time) Now we're wastin' time
(Same ol' pickup lines) Same ol' pickup lines
(And you keep tryin') Buddy you keep tryin'
Don't waste time

Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push

(Guitar Solo)

Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push
Get-get-get-get-get out and push

Soon you'll see my silhouette a-darkening your door
I can almost t-taste it, I want more
No one's above suspicion, no one's got it wired
I may burn my fingers, want my iron in that fire

(And now we're wastin' time) Ow! Now we're wastin' time
(Same ol' pickup lines) Same ol' pick up lines
(And you keep tryin') Buddy you keep tryin'
Don't waste time

(Wow!) Get-get-get-get-get out and push (Hey, buddy better...get out and push)
Get-get-get-get-get out and push (Get get get get out and push)
Get-get-get-get-get out and push (Buddy, better. Get out and push)
Get-get-get-get-get out and push (Woo! Oh!)
Get-get-get-get-get out and push (Oh-whee)
Get-get-get-get-get out and push (All right you sinners, swing!)

While on the surface Dave might seem to be writing about a woman, I think it's also a message to Eddie to get off his lazy ass. Aside from the lyrics themselves, the music is pure rage.
