Just saw "From Dusk Till Dawn"...
Pretty good flick. Nice cast, cool special effects, lots of humor, although Salma Hayek's (admittedly brief) performance wasn't nearly as impressive as the reviews I'd seen on IMDb said.

One odd thing. Usually I'm not a big fan of gore, but the gore in that movie was so over-the-top that it really didn't affect me much.

How many of you here have seen it?

2. I have seen it too
It was pretty entertaining though I thought that Salma was drop dead gorgeous in it. (But I am biased) There are also some pretty good one liners in it which I always enjoy.

9. Been meaning to watch #3
I'm a huge Ambrose Bierce fan, and I want to see if they did a good job on portraying him.

13. Well, let's see...
When it came out, I would have been about 7. From then until about a year ago, I was living with my overprotective Republican mother, who would have taken the tape or DVD out at the start of the second half and probably stomped on it.

It's not a movie I want to watch with my dad, so I had no intention of renting it. I was just lucky it came on ENC Action tonight.

Answer your question? ;)

20. I believe it's...
...over 13 for most internet stuff. It's only porn and the like that require you to be 18+. Additionally, I've seen other minors on here.

Going to bed now.

11. That movie has a strange pace
Edited on Sun Apr-17-05 01:34 AM by Mojambo
It almost feels like watching two different movies between the first half and the second half.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, in fact probably more than most other Tarantino films.

What did you think of his performance?

15. As I said in post #8,
"Scarier than any of the vampires." He actually looks a little like me, which is even creepier.

16. I liked the idea they took the time to show him as truly psychotic.

Having episodes about the girl, etc. Didn't have to go there, and you are right they are more memorable than the vampire sequences for the most part.

19. I hated the movie.
Just too much (if that makes sense). Salma made me feel sort of funny though I must admit. She was pretty hot (well, until she turned into a monstrous beast). :P

21. That movie is great.
The acting is top-notch, and it really helped to make the movie. George Clooney's acting is superb.
