I used to play bass but I quit about ten years ago. I always loved John Entwistle's bass playing, plus he wrote the coolest songs.
I know there are fantasy baseball camps, are there any fantasy bass camps?

2. I miss him
He was the best. I got to see him a while ago in a small club here, and he rocked. It's not a good thing to take your heart medicine and wash it down with cocaine.

5. Agreed
he was the backbone of the Who, (well along with Keith Moon) and even though I wasn't into the whole Who thing after Moon died, I was still mighty upset when he died so stupidly.

I hate it when musicians die before their time, because they deny the rest of us the gift of their talent.

finally got discs of stuff.

Quadropehenia is the Who's best work.

Saw the first reunion tour 1982.

6. Speaking as a bass player
I think it's already a fantasy to think you can get any sort of career satisfaction playing bass. Unless you're Flea.

Although it happens sometimes. I think Michael Anthony has got to be the luckiest guy in the world.

7. I ketch yer drift
I'm just funning here, I'm just awed by bass masters who manage to carry a whole band's sound...They still manage to remain in the background of attention...(at least IMO)
