A Question about the BBV Flameout |
|
can anyone explain it all to me? (and i'm asking folks not directly involved, i've already read what the main players have to say)
i was really depressed yesterday to realize that there was some kind of serious fighting going on, and in public no less. the thread i read was a continuation of another, in which bev, demactivist, and others i respect and have come to trust got really nasty.
now, it's not my business how friends deal with one another, but the BBV issue has been my baby for a while. i send friends and peers to BBV related sites all the time, and i can't do that if there is some kind of scam or controversy surrounding the people involved.
i'm just so sad, because i don't understand why this was made public, and at this point i'm wondering if i've not placed me trust in the wrong people. i'm also sad about what it says about us as activists. i've not ruled out some kind of mole or disrupter either.
anyone?

I honestly have no idea.
All I know is that the ridiculous number of "Hey BBV....."...."Hey Bev!"......BBV this BBV that posts on this board are more than a little annoying.

2. that's my question as well |
|
there was a thread i didn't read that got pulled. there was another thread that i read, and didn't understand, "did that BBV thread get pulled" in which some of our most regular posters basically said they were done with bev, and bev said some things about what the DU activists were doing/not doing...it just went on and on. i really didn't get it, and it seemed very odd that such a dialogue would be posted in public..
in a way, DU is like a big, squabbling family that can be just too silly in public. i don't mind this though, it's kind of endearing. but the BBV stuff is just too important for tha kind of crap, and the fact that all the mud got slung is making me rethink what i've read and thought about the people working on the issue. but i'm also suspicious...many of the activists have reported weird disruptions of their work, which is why i'm also wondering if there is a mole in the mix.

3. I've been following it but only superficially, |
|
but I did see the thread that was pulled. In this thread Bev described how DemActivist seemingly turned against here.
As to why the thread was deleted, maybe it wasn't the real Bev (just a guess).
