1. I have one of those Home Cafe things.
I don't really care for it, to tell you the truth. The coffee just doesnt' taste fresh to me. I used Maxwell House pods.

I'm a coffee snob, though, so your mileage may vary.

3. I'm hoping to find something really good.
I made a cup w/ the pods that were packed w/ the machine and I really, really, really, REALLY hope that is not the usual cup of coffee that thing makes. I hope it was lousy because the coffee had been in the box forever.

7. I thought the same thing!
So I went and bought fresh pods, and still I wasn't that impressed. But I am really VERY picky about coffee, so it could just be my problem. It doesn't make a BAD cup of coffee, I just expected it to be so much better than it was.

8. I worked at a coffee house for a year, which is when I got my addiction
I don't know how much of a snob I am. I just won't drink it if it's not perfect.

It's GOT to get better... that's probably what you said, too....

9. Heh. I think you've come by your addiction honestly, and I
hope you can find some decent pods! If you do, let me know.

I put my machine away, and bought a new Cuisinart that grinds and then brews the coffee. It's much better tasting, although the steps to getting a pot of coffee from it are so complicated! :silly:

2. We've been invaded!

iPods, coffee pods -- the pods are everywhere.

Why didn't anyone notice?

5. There's a great Dutch company Douwe Egberts that make them
I've used their coffee bags for cups of coffee before and it's good stuff. Amazon sells it.

12. this
Here's one of them, made by Phillips

It makes one 4-oz or one 8-oz serving of coffee at a time. Good for me at home because Mrs. V. doesn't drink coffee much anymore, and I don't drink enough to justify making even half a pot.
