Inspired by progmom's kid: tell us what weird thing your kid is doing.
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 05:03 PM by Bouncy Ball
If they aren't currently doing anything weird or you aren't with them, describe something weird you heard them say. Give the age, too.

Right now, Little Bouncy is on her computer and is saying to the screen "ITCHY GITCHY GITCHY GOOOO!!!" in a really high pitched voice. She's alternating that with whistling a tuneless song. Wait, now she's singing "Tell me NO! Tell me NO! Tell me yes yes! Tell me NO! Tell me NO! Tell me yes yes!"

Oh, she's 10. (No, I don't know what any of it means and I'm not asking her.)

2. How old? That made me laugh. Sounds JUST like a kid.
Sometimes I am envious of them. They could have a good time sitting in a cardboard box.

Now mine is saying in a deep loud voice to the computer "ANSWER THE QUESTION BILLY OR WE'RE SENDING YOU TO REFORM SCHOOL!!!"

Dunno.

3. She's also 10 and think interpretive dance is just the funniest thing
ever. the whole carefree fun time is wonderful, no self editing really yet, just cut loose and have a ball.

11. Right click on my picture of sundog.
Then click on properties. You'll see the address for the picture. Highlight that, then right click on it and click copy.

Then go to your profile on DU (Options, then edit profile). Where you have a spot for a signature line, simply point your arrow at that box, right click, then hit paste.

Voila!

13. my five year old is currently eating sushi and singing inbetween bites
She told me the other day that she wanted to be a teenager but when I asked her what a teenager was, she didn't know. Okay, so it's not exactly "ha ha" funny, but I'm always amused at the things kids say. :)

14. she's not my kid, so I have no shame ...
... telling everyone that my "niece" (only sorta, since I'm friends with her mom and she's started calling me "Auntie Lisa") -- is running around imitating a duck.

Not just any duck, either -- the Indian Runners that I gave them. (If you've never seen one of these, there's a video partway down this page.)
http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Ducks/BRKDucks.html

Anyway, the first time she did this, the neighbour lady laughed hysterically and then ran for the video camera.

The ducks themselves are another story -- I actually AM rather embarrassed to say that they've begun attempting to mate with visitors' feet. They are all drakes, and have just reached sexual maturity -- luckily my friend is incredibly forgiving and hasn't blamed me for inflicting a bunch of perverted poultry on them.

17. This is totally exclusionary!
What about those of us without kids, eh? Those of us still young yet, trying to meet that special someone and make babies and do a lot of the stuff where you make babies. Failing a lot, you know, but pulling through in the end.

I'm so ALONE!

PS Good stories!
