Well, okay, so in about 4 more hours anyway. Positive thoughts would be appreciated for my flight. :) I'm a little nervous. This small town girl has never been any further north than TN and certainly not on my own. I'm sure things will be just fine, but a little encouragement would be great. :hug: Love you guys! As a Masshole, I think I can assure you that this weekend is gonna be loony. :crazy:

And don't worry about the flight. Statistically, airplanes are safer than cars. (They just get worse press, because an airplane mishap makes a bigger mess than an auto accident.) You'll be fine. Just drink plenty of liquids.

The city has meticulously preserved some of the very old graveyards, which would have been rural back then, but are now surrounded by skyscrapers. Still, for a moment, you are transported back to the days of the Puritans.

Also: Avoid the "Salem Witch Museum." It's a bloody ripoff.

One more note: If you want to see some good indie rock/punk bands, go to a club called The Middle East. It's a great joint, plus their food is fantastic.

I was going to plan a day trip to Salem, but now I'm wondering if that's such a good idea since there's so much else I want to see.

Great! Today is supposed to be in the mid to high 70s. Tommorow is supposed to be 85 degrees!

You'll be fine. I flew yesterday, and the whole Northeast corridor is clear and calm. There was little turbulence. and the views were spectacular!
