5. Tragically, it's just not as quick to read as the DU

However it's pretty much done by some dudes in their spare time and its main function is of the "hey where are you going this weekend" type.

I just couldn't believe I was seeing people start to get cranked up!

On the plus side this is the first time I have posted something paddle related and had ANYBODY respond...I feel so......vindicated :)

No forum, and no subject is safe.

My mom belonged to a board for Chihuahua owners, and it disbanded because the flamewars got so bad. A forum about dogs. Nowhere on the net is safe. :scared:

It is the anonymity of the internet--people often feel free to be much more blunt or even sniping than you can get away with in person.

But there is something so apropos about a small-dog forum flame war, that's delicious! :evilgrin:

It does seem like it would be, but it started over an irresponsible pet owner, so it was actually kind of sad. People took sides. Chaos ensued. This is all second hand info from mom.

Everybody pretty much knows everybody else--which is part of why KAYAK pissed a couple of people off. Even though when you get right down to it what KAYAK said makes a fair amount of sense.

If, however you want in and want to take up boating there's always room for one more!

By the way, if anybody is wondering, I'm one of the mediocre boaters--but one who doesn't talk to much smack or get in over my head--so I'm alright.

The season's just getting started, no time like the present to take up a new sport!
