5. What's the big deal at DU with post numbers?

Does having a high post count somehow make a poster more credible? I've read posts by DU members with less than 50 posts that were truly inspired and those by DU members with over 10,000 posts that were moronic.

I've been around a while and pick my spots. I suppose if I hung around in the lounge and posted my favorite songs from A-Z I could be taken more seriously on a trip back to GD, but if people are that shallow I think I should turn off my post numbers, which is exactly what I am going to do when I finish this post.

On second thought, maybe I should work on getting laid first. Then I'll turn off my post numbers.
