Has anyone here ever used a Neti Pot? |
|
This is a little ceramic thing from India...looks like Aladdins Lamp...you are supposed to snuffle salt water into your nose with it. Somebody recommended this for allergy season and yesterday's pollen load was so bad I almost went out to try to find one. But first, does it work? I'm looking for serious Neti Pot Support.

It worked for her!
But it was NOT pleasant to watch her use it over the kitchen sink.

and used it regularly a few years back to help with reoccurring sinus infections. the salt water and pressure of it going through the nasal cavity can be very uncomfortable, but it becomes less so with regular usage. you're likely to find one at your local health food store.
and it's a really gross procedure and should be done in private. it can be especially messy if you're sick and have a lot of mucus. i used to swear by the thing.
good luck
