Ever noticed how Bush pronounces "rather"?
Edited on Wed Apr-20-05 12:57 PM by elperromagico
Just noticed this in catching a snippet of Bush's "energy" speech. It might just be an anomaly, as I can't recall another time when I've heard Bush say "rather."

His pronunciation of "rather" rhymes with "father" instead of "lather." Is that a Texas thing? I have my doubts.

One hates to nitpick, but even the lib'rul junior senator from Massachusetts rhymes "rather" with "lather." :P

I'm telling you, this guy talks like Thurston Howell when the cameras aren't on.

5. It's actually New England.
Like where Bush was born and went to school for most of his "education."
