Schwarzenegger burns clothes of disobedient children
Father of the year candidate?

TERMINATOR star ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is so adamant his children do their laundry, he'll often set fire to any of their dirty clothes he finds laying around.

The California Governor is a stickler for neatness around the house, and he believes that all of his four children should be very disciplined when it comes to clearing up after themselves.

His wife MARIA SHRIVER says, "He's strict about laundry. I go, 'Arnold, you're running a state - don't worry about the laundry!' And he will call me, from the Capitol (asking), 'Have they done the laundry? If I come home and they haven't done the laundry, I'm telling you, there are no play dates!'

"He goes around our house, taking the kids' clothes that they leave. He throws it in the fire, or he hides it and they don't ever get it back... And he is serious about it. I am scared to death too!"

2. What a guy!
It makes you wonder what the punishment is for a really serious behavioral transgression. Maybe he sets fire to the kids themselves. I just cannot imagine what Maria Shriver sees in this guy.

18. You mean Maria Skelator?

I use to feel sorry for the gal because it's obvious she has an eating disorder - she never use to be this scrawny & bony, just look for early pictures of her back when her and Arh-nuld were first dating.

It's obvious that she's obsessed with her weight to the point of practically starving herself while he's turning into a pile of overweight mush

3. "Hey suzie, want to go to the mall and shop for new clothes?"
"Hold on. I need to leave some of my old stuff laying around so dad can see it."

4. Nice to know he can fucking well afford to be so wasteful.
Ugh. governor groper needs to stop having phone sex with his wife and GET BACK TO WORK.

I can see why neatness, et al, is a concern, but he's surely going a bit far?

6. A testeron filled bully
"I am scared to death too!"
(...)
But the actor-turned-politician isn't just worried about his home staying in order - he also gets furious

That says it all doesn't it. An abusive bully who terrorizes his environment to get people to do exactly what he tells them to do.

Poor children :(

He created the Hummer; the 8MPG (or is that 8GPM) gas guzzler that also can't survive in a crash. x(

7. Confession time...I get so irked by my daughter putting clean clothes
back in the hamper that I have been known to throw some things away. Many mothers know the frustration invloved in laundry. I'm not going to indict him for this when there is so much more to choose from. :hi:

14. You're throwing them away - not incinerating them
One is a little more harsh if you ask me

21. It's not just mothers...
my wife tends to leave clothes lying around, too. I've threatened to throw them away at times, but haven't gone that far yet... I'd probably just hide them until she asked for them.

11. Celebrities only donate to charity when the camera is on
Didn't you notice that? They come flying to charities like beers to honey, but only if you can use for publicity.

Never let your left hand know...

10. So he's teaching that you get new clothes if you just leave the dirty ones
on the floor.

"I don't like this shirt. If I just leave it on the floor, dad will burn it, then I can get a new one. So this way, I get rid of the stuff I don't care about any more, but more importantly, I know that dad will pick up my laundry for me."

Which latter statement is the real lesson here - leave the laundry around, and dad WILL pick it up for me.

13. It's history repeating itself.
Gov. Schwarzenegger often has spoken about what a hardass his own father was. Guess he didn't learn anything from growing up with a bully dad.

17. A little "anal", wouldn't you say?
At least "Der Gropenführer" is better than "Der Bingle" (Bing Crosby) who used to beat his older sons until the blood ran, for the most inane "offenses" imaginable.

Schwartzenegger must be a fan of Alice Miller’s work, though I'm sure she didn't intend for her books to be used as how-to guides.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to the kids' tell-all book about Papa Schwartzenegger.

22. Arnold is another repuke whacko. From the same article...
She adds, "If you don't turn out the lights, he takes the lights out of the ceiling! I keep trying to tell him he has other things on his plate, but he goes, 'We have an energy crisis, the children have no respect for the energy!'"
