18. First, you save the file to your PC...

Then you go to a site like this one: http://www.imageshack.ws/

Then you "Browse" for the file you saved and "host it"

On the next page, go down to the second section of boxes to the last one (Direct link to image) and copy the URL. Paste it here. Voila!

24. That happens when you paste the wrong URL...

Some of them contain characters that won't allow the image to be shown here... You need to copy the link that is halfway down the page and says "Direct link to image" to the right of it.

35. Hahaha.... Ok... listen carefully...

Go to "Start" then "Run" then type "pbrush" then click OK.

Windows Paintbrush will open. Open the file you saved, then, choose "Image" from the menu, then "Stretch/Skew"

Now, importantly... you must enter the SAME percentage in both of the first boxes (Horizontal and Vertical) so as not to skew the picture. Enter 50 in the first two boxes and then click OK.

Start with 50 percent and go from there. Then just save the file and upload again.

Couple of things to do...

if the site allows deep linking, right click on the image and click "copy image address" and then paste the address in the post

Or, if it's too much of a pain going there all the time and finding the smiley, just paste the address into a text file or clipboard utility so you always have it available.

I have a BS.txt file with an icon on the taskbar so that I can pull up notepad instantly for taking quick notes. I find it more convenient than all of the clipboard utilities, post-it note thingies and other utilities for keeping short notes and text I use all the time.

If you can't link to them that way, then you have to ignore copyright law and copy the images and upload them somewhere.
