VHS to DVD recording...
Recently bought a Sanyo VHS/DVD-R to back up all my video tapes with. Not too impressed with Audio/Video synch.

The visual recording quality is perfect, but the audio lags ever so slightly.

It's not as bad as watching a poorly dubbed Godzilla movie, but still...

Anybody have a similar experience? Is this a common problem with all-in-one decks? Should I ship the pile of junk back?

1. I hate all-in-ones. Ship it back.
I do my own archiving. A bit tedious but the results are worth it.

2. I have a relative with one, Panasonic I think
...and he did not have those issues. The first one he got didn't work, though, so he had to get a replacement (free of charge).
