6. 6 Cyl, 2.7 Liter
Edited on Sat Apr-23-05 09:58 AM by MrScorpio
It's the base model, but I got that nice engine, power seats, cruise control and CD.

That's all I really wanted.

No need to pay extra cash for no reason

7. True, stock is good
My new goat is all stock, 6.0 Liter 8 cyl. LS-2 engine (400 h.p.). Same engine as the stock Corvette C-6 but weighs less and has a much tighter fit and finish (surprisingly).

It's a true wolf in sheep's clothing and i'm seriously having to re-adjust my driving. It's my first true muscle car and 90 mph feels like 40 mph in the old car.

I can't wait to race someone, but I can just hear them now after the race..

"Man, that was the fastest chevy cavalier on the planet!"

Don't tell me Aaahnold Schwartzaneggar's been messing with my car. If he so much as touches it he's going to pull back a bloody stump.

We have a brand new scenic highway that completed construction about two years ago. Eight on-off ramps total, all roadside signs banned (including billboards) except for state highway signs, three lanes in each direction.

Not too many people know about it here except for locals. It is patrolled by the highway patrol but fairly few and far between. Radar detectors are legal in our state.

And... they have closed the highway for races in the past. The last time they did was during last year's Harley Davidson convention for a few hours for a charity race.

If you get the discovery channel, and watch that bike builder show called "American Chopper," you can see the new highway in the episode called "Stealth Fighter bike #2." They unveiled that bike here during the Harley convention two years ago and have lots of footage at the end of the episode of them tooling up and down the new highway.

11. Sebring?
Very nice... we have a stretch here to roll it on, kinda secret.

You can go by a little hole-in-the-wall place and get a T-shirt if you come race .....

13. We should have a lounge race
Just for fun, like a flash mob.

Invade a highway in neutral territory. Get a few friends to stop traffic, line up and go.

17. Ug. I never had any luck with those.
The most effective method for me was finding a reason to meet one of the HR people or, in the case of teaching jobs, the assistant principal. The websites gave me zero return. I'm a big advocate of hoofin' it and showing up with a resume/portfolio in hand.
