So, my neighbours are having a party
Edited on Sat Apr-23-05 07:36 PM by HEyHEY
...according to my roomie.

She wants to go. I asked, "What kind of people are they?" She said they're bikers. "Like peddle bikers?" I asked. SHe replied, "No motorcycles."
So I asked what kinda music they listen to. She said motorhead and shit like that.

I don't know if I wanna go, seems like the kinda thing a tall drink of water like me could get beat to a bloody pulp at.

Should I go?

1. I drive a motorcycle.
There must be literally dozens of bikers who've never killed anyone in a drunken barroom brawl.

Hard-core stereotypical bikers are known as two-percenters in recognition of the proportion of the bike-owning community they amount to. I wouldn't worry about the party. Go and see what you think.

6. Hell yes. Go to the party.

I thought the same thing, once, but I was completely wrong. The biker parties I've been to have been lots of fun, and I've been enthusiastically accepted.

Go to the party. Show an interest in them. Ask some questions about the bikes. Ask if they do any benefits. (Most of the hardcore bikers around here do benefits, like Poker Runs and Toys for Tots. Ask them about that stuff.)

Go to the party. Don't believe the stereotypes about them.

Wish I lved there so that I could go with you.
