I'm watching Sideways - I like it, but
Edited on Sun Apr-24-05 07:18 PM by HEyHEY
I just can't buy the idea of two guys going on a tasting tour of the wine country for the big pre-wedding get wild time.

That's more of a honeymoon thing.

Anyone else have trouble with that?

1. I thought the whole movie
Edited on Sun Apr-24-05 07:26 PM by REDSTATELIBERAL
was strange. It is by the same director of About Schmidt. That film as well was peculiar. They just kind of lag along never getting anywhere and the staring rolls are about self deluded loser characters.

4. i agree...
they say write about something you know; heard the author is an english teacher with a penchant for wine = go figure. much of the rest are 'novel notions' placed on a string so as to say. don't see him with a follow up as yet

5. Only thing (about the film) that bothered me was...
..at the end when they get killed by the "runaway Train"..
I thought that was rather strage..

6. i was a little disapointed....
The movie defiantly didn't live up to the hype. But is was still entertaining and Virginia Madsen is, well let's just say I would through Mrs. WC Green off the high level bridge here in Cleveland to get just one shot at her....

Never mind, that scene where she is telling Paul g. why she loves wine is probably one of the best written scenes I have seen in years.....

The rest, okay, but not best picture caliber......

Just my opinion...

Oh, I did like the movie a lot.....
