Bird consolidation
In an attempt to ease my breathing issues, we have traded in ten zebra finches and one parakeet for a cockatiel. It's a hand fed baby, and tonight, it thought my face was food. It was sitting on my lap, making that feed me noise, and I was handing it food...when I ran out, it climbed me, and nibbled on my face. I'll give it a break, it's only been here a few hours. It must learn that I am NOT food.

2. It's got to be better than all of those finches
:hi:

The cage was huge and I know generated a ton of dust, not to mention the feathers. One bird will be much less of a mess.

5. If they caused you respiratory problems, stay away from cockatoos...
and Congo Grays. A cockatoo we were taming gave my ex an asthma attack. She traded him for a baby Amazon.

6. Well...the cage was huge
All the dust kicked up from the sand and all of those feathers couldn't have been doing me any good. I had the new guy right in my face (trying to eat it), no breathing issues so far.

8. Good, the Tiel should be fine then.
Several Cockatoos can put a thin film of powder over everything in a room. Their feathers create the powder for lubrication.

3. When I first got my tiel
he kept on trying to shove his little head down my ear.

They're cards. Enjoy!

4. This one seems to be quite interesting
I've had parakeets and finches, but this is a first. Since I'm unable to work right now, we'll get lots of bonding in!

7. Mine also loved to preen my eyelashes
I had no fear, trusted him completely. He never hurt me.

I loved my tiel, it's been 4 years since he died. I'm looking to get another birdie soon. They're such fun! :bounce:
