If you have one, rate your mayor
A recent best and worst mayor list made me think this is a good topic for DU. I don't know much about my borough's mayor, but he's a Repuke, so he'd most likely get a bad approval rating (less than 50%.)

What approval rating would your mayor get (0-100%)

actually been in his office nor can I recall a single newspaper article where he has attended a city council meeting, I will rate a -10.

9. The mayor here..
is pretty much a do-nothing. He makes sure to show up: when it's election day! He's always at the poll place, and I always tell him I'm a Democrat. Traffic situations never get fixed. He doesn't listen to concerns that we need more restaurants and fewer developments coming in.

3. it was a hard fought, just about win-win situation for milwaukee
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 01:38 AM by mark414
i would've preferred the other candidate to win, but tom barrett (former WI congressman) ended up with the honor. (the election was just last april)

i've actually been able to work with him on a couple different things and i wouldn't put him at either extreme

he's a good guy and his intentions are good; he's pretty responsive and pretty progressive

i'll say a solid B

6. B
it's this guy:

http://www.edmonton.ca/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_2_298_214_0_43/http%3B/CMSServer/COEWeb/the+mayor/Mayors+Bio.htm

He's been on the job a fairly short time, but there's bee a few scandals as well as a serial killer to deal with. He replaced Bill "Wal-Mart Greeter" Smith; the Mayor Quimby of Edmonton..

7. We have one
but the City Manager is definitely more powerful than the Mayor, which seems to be somewhat of a title more than a job. And he's not too bad, even if he's relatively ineffectual--he's a Dem, and has powerful friends.

8. Mine's a Machine Democrat in the pocket of...
the county leader who is most assuredly not a Nice Guy.

He got the job a while back calling the other Democratic mayor a crook. Now he's one step ahead of the sheriff himself.

Last election, he ran unopposed but still got only half the votes.

10. Jerry Jennings Mayor Of Albany NY - Douchebag
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 01:23 PM by DistressedAmerican
Republican, tanning booth freak with a year around orange tan just two miles south of the Canadian border.

I most hate him for his prediliction for the destruction of archaeological resources in the area.
