mine are "Room with a view" by E.M. Foster. I also like "The Grass Dancer" by Susan Power. Another one is "Stiller" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt. There are many more but those are the ones I read more than once.

2. The Red Tent, Anita Diamant, and anything by Bill Bryson, |
|
especially A Walk in the Park. I laugh just thinking about it. Also Blue Latitudes was great, about tracking Capt Cook;s voyage around the Pacific in modern times. Hilarious, brilliant. Laughter helps. The Red Tent is unlike those, more of a dear friend you say goodbye to at its end. Selah.

7. no but I like mysteries |
|
and am always looking for referrals. I will check out Mr. Rankin! James Herriot was real-life vet Alf Wight; check out his book All Creatures Great and Small and if you like that, then continue with the series!
