Miss France 2004 could lose title over Playboy pics
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/afplifestylefrance

PARIS (AFP) - Miss France 2004, Laetitia Bleger,
could be stripped of her title after posing for Playboy, as the committee which runs the beauty pageant forbids "licentious" behavior for six years after taking the crown.

The president of the Miss France committee, Genevieve de Fontenay, told AFP on Monday that she was "dismayed and appalled" by the half-naked photos of Bleger in the adult magazine.

Isabelle Turpeaut, Miss France 1983, lost her title after posing as a pin-up for Paris Match magazine.

US actress and singer Vanessa Williams, the first black woman to be crowned Miss America in 1983, was forced to resign two months before the end of her reign after photos taken of her when she was a teenager appeared in Penthouse.

12. That's pretty offensive, alright.
It looks like she carved up a muppet to make that dress.

9. How foolish, the judges basically vote for the one they would like
...to bang first, second and third, and then they get all outraged if the woman sells what they bought!!! Like the TALENT portion decides the winner....PLEASE!!

I find beauty contests offensive--they certainly don't reduce objectification of females. IMO, I can't buy that scholarship crap, that "well rounded person" nonsense--the only things they are looking for that are well rounded are the boobies and the butt.

Sometimes I wonder, is this really the 21st Century? It seems like the late 40's to me, sometimes!
