I don't care if politicians hug and kiss people of the same sex -- private or public. But if they are simultaneously saying others can't do that -- it becomes a show of power. Especially if they impose themselves on people who aren't allowed to refuse.

Bush frequently fondles or even smooches visitors, onlookers, or guys in the press corps. But he gets all tense and irritable unless he's the one who makes the first move (remember that incident at Andover, back in 2001 I think, where one of the graduating sailors impulsively hugged him and Bush looked like he wanted to kill the guy?).
