I just bought a super 8 film camera on eBay!
I'm so excited! Later on, I will realize it is worthless without film and a projector, but for right now, I'm ecstatic!

7. try eBay
I bought a Bell & Howell 8mm Magazine camera model 172 in perfect working condition with the case owners manual and the original receipt dated July 1952 from a shop in New York City. Found it 10 years ago in Colorado for 7 bucks.

Most people didn't use them much. My father had a movie camera, used it several times and I am not sure he ever got the film developed and never had a projector.

They are neet little machines.

Cheers! :toast:

6. I have one of those, you wind it up!
Haven't used it in decades, but it would still work if I had film.

9. My collection peaked when I bought this..

There's really no point adding more to my collection. Especially since they're next to useless now. :)

11. depending on the camera you could still find film for it
I have one and it takes pre-loaded kodak rolls of about 100 feet, approx. 8 minutes of film.

Low low budget but it works. I also have a Krasnikov 16 mm russian camera that works like a dream. You hand crank it like an old clock and it just keeps on shooting. It rocks.
