SNEEZING...and now I am having to medicate NINE pointy-toothed, nasty-tempered,needle-footed BEASTS.. Catching them is a trick..They have all taken to hiding under the bed.:grr:..and they tip each other off, so after I catch the first one, the others become "invisible"..
We have eye meds, nose meds and the "pink stuff"..
"Sweets", SPITS it out and spews it from his NOSE at me..
"Sara", peed on me yesterday, and BIT me..
Sweet ole "Skunkie" is the only one who0 is good natured about taking it.
I have 3 different doses..had to make a chart..1cc for the "skinnies"..1.5cc for the middles..and 2cc for the chubbies/. Sara now weighs 19.5 lb..
It takes me about 2 hours from start to finish...and then 6 hrs later, I get to start over again:(
They DO seem to be feeling better though, and only heard a few sneezes today :)

That is just the worst.
What is up with the pink liquid antibiotics anyway? Why on earth would sticky sweet bubble-gum be palatable to a cat? I know it's just the same stuff they give babies, but it's just foul. I have several sweaters with pink stains on them.
Hope the gang is feeling better soon. :hi:

2. You have my sympathies. Get well soon kitties. |

We dread the liquid antibiotics.
It takes me and Mr. CottonBear to give that kind to our kitties, especially the razor clawed Smokey boy. We must wrap them in giant bath towels and one of us holds them down while the other gives the meds. We beg for the pills if it is possible to get that kind. My (17 lb) Cinder girl bit me when I tried to clean her teeth. Only tiny Tabitha is good about pills and shots. She is totally deaf, which may help.
Good luck and get well soon to all the kitties!

regarding the 'pink stuff': Y'all know, cats are compulsive, drop it(pink stuff) on their fur and/or toes! They will have no choice but to lick it off. So they will give you dirty looks for a while, but it's worth it!

I have a cat that has learned to read my mind so I have to go to another town entirely to think of a new strategy to try on her every other day because she so quickly learns every subtle nuance of the last strategy I tried on her from one "pilling" episode to the next. And I thought I had it bad. I could imagine that times 5.
