4. Canon, EOS, 20D, 8.2 MP.
It cost me a ton but it may be the best out there. I need to read the manual a couple times to get all the cool features down.

2. Love the picture of the guy on the guitar, with the old car...
...driving up in the background. There's a lot of symbolism in that picture....

5. San Diego. One the few blue/liberal/progressive neighborhoods
here in San Diego. A community of about 10,000 weed smokers. Low crime, very friendly and artistic people live in OB.

9. I understand what you're saying...
I've seen electoral maps of CA, and it seems the further in you go, the farther away from the water you get, and the more conservative people get. Uggghhhhh......

You are brave to swim and boogeyboard...I like pools at most! I'm not talking about sharks either; I just like to be able to stand up in a stable environment, lol! I'm just a big chicken when it comes to going in the ocean.

10. I actually saw people catch small leopard sharks off the pier today.
They were no more than 14" long and harmless but nonetheless SHARKS!

30. Actually, it's been happening gradually.
In 2000, 10% more San Diego County voters voted for Bush over Gore.

By 2004, only 5% more San Diego County voters voted for Bush over Kerry.

We cut their lead by 50% in just 4 years.

IOW, most of the people moving to SD vote Democrat. Maybe by 2008 more San Diegans will vote blue than red. I'm feelin' hopeful.

27. I once considered setting up my own dark room to develop my film
I did rolls of black & white - learning composition. Then after changing over to color, I started doing landscape and wildlife collages. It really was so much fun.

I was lucky to have a professional photographer who made his living in advertising for many years before we met as my guide while I was busy with a camera.

I'm still learning about the cyber world and I haven't touched a Digital ~ yet.

Your work is excellent ! :toast: I'll look forward to seeing more.

18. OB and Hillcrest are the most progessive and tolerant parts of SD.
And the RWers hate them for it.
Screw them!

21. Excellent pics, maveric!!!
SoCal beaches are the best -- from the nice surf and Pacific breezes, to the cool people who inhabit them.

It's getting to be that time of year again -- the longer days, the weather's slowly warming up...

Damn, I'm in *beach mode* now!
