Rant: Health Insurance SUCKS!!!!
I just got a call from the office of the doctor who's treating me for neck injuries I sustained in an accident last year. Last October, he fitted me with a back brace to help hold my back more stable - it's really helped control the pain.

Well, Cigna is refusing to pay for the back brace because it wasn't approved. The doctor has dictated a letter to Cigna reqwuesting that they appeal their decision, and now I have to call Cigna and give someone hell.

Like I said - health insurance sucks. But then again, not having health insurance sucks even more.

1. I hear ya
I'm sorry for your situation. It does totally suck.

I buy my own insurance. I have a high deductible and only 50% of my prescription drugs (I have asthma) are covered. Every year, my doctor has to fight with them over why I should have my meds covered. So, since your doctor is doing the same thing, they will (hopefully) cave. Good luck.

2. Its a sad and horrible sight...
I have to pay for insurance out of my own pocket as well as my husband.. We're paying close to 350 a month just to keep us covered.

On top of that, deductibles, co pays, and prescriptions make it probably over 400 when its all said and done.

God forbid any of us get sick that have to pay or have no insurance.

I got denied for lower cost insurance because I had 2 abnormal pap tests that later came back normal and was listed as having 'pre-existing' conditions.

FU INSURANCE.
