"you are trying to send a message to yourself"
Has anyone else been idiotic enough to hit reply on an incoming PM and gotten this warning?

For some reason it completely cracked me up.

It's like "self. . .self. . .self. . .do you hear me. . .?"

Expected to get a secondary message that read. . ."user is out of range."

Too funny really.

6. woh I completely
blocked out that reference, probably 'cause everyone I know who was constantly on cocaine in those days loved Steely Dan (a dildo by the way) acted like complete and total egomaniacs. It's one of the only drugs around that inflates the ego causing the user to think that they were the most sophisticated, articulate, and intelligent person on the planet until suddenly. . .they weren't. Was a strange time to try and socialize, indeed.

9. Yep, from "Naked Lunch"
Although when this song came out I was in third grade, so that reference went way over my head, and the only coke I was ingesting at the time came in carbonated liquid form in a red can.

I remember hearing it for the first time while riding in the backseat of the car and thought how strange it would be for me to mail something to myself. Such are the thoughts of an eight-year-old.

doubt it. Though it's entirely possible. Thought I was just inadvertantly channelling Lucille Ball again. Oh well. Truly think it was my own idiocy more than anyone elses defensive strategy.

Really

13. I tried sending a PM to someone
... not knowing they had me on Iggy and that was the message I got back. Then I realized what the deal was.

Channeling Lucille Ball isn't so bad, BTW

I just sent one successfully. I misspoke in my first post. I tried to reply to something in my "sent' folder. That was the really dumb part.
