Okay, who here is sick of Terry Gross saying |
|
"This is FFFRRRRREEEsh Air." Look lady, I love the show and all, but it's just "Fresh Air." Ease up a bit.
I'm just sayin'....

3. I don't think it's any worse... |

...than the way that Tony Danza says "Mow-na", "Eaaaangela", or "Sum-eaaaantha".

I think Tony is hosting a daytime show now. He's in good shape physically, but he's had one to many doses of botox.

7. Face it: More people care about Tony Danza, than Gross saying: |
|
"FFFrrrreeesh Air."
You are alone in your obsession.

18. She seems a bit too breathy in general |
|
but my main complaint is how she sticks to her list of questions even when a guest opens up a really fascinating new line of discussion, for example:
Guest: "This has never been publicly announced before, but I recently traveled to the moon in a top-secret reactivation of the Apollo project." TG: "That's fascinating. Now you've said that your hometown has influenced your work - do you visit often?"

She's a decent interviewer, but she tends to softball controversial guests.

she's upset quite a few, too, Monica Lewinsky comes to mind. Gross can push pretty hard at times... not like the Wash. Press Corps tonight... they all act like robots parroting * talking points. Disgusting.

I'll give her that. She can rock at times. But she can disappoint just as often. Overall I give her a . I just want to see her do better.
ps. my pet rock could upset Monica. Such an interview is a gift from the radio gods, who demand the occasional sacrifice.

so how she says Fresh Air doesn't bug me. I really enjoy her interviews when I hear them (which I haven't been able to for a long time, unfortunately). I have no feelings one way or the other about Tiny Dancer....Oh I mean Tony Danza.

Hey Paul....you remember riding in the car, listening to Gene Simmons debase Terry Gross?
Yeah, me too.
Good times, man.
However annoying it is that she says it that way, it's STILL better than hearing G. Gordon Liddy sing the praises of "THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINNNNE!" every goddamned show.
I'd rather shove a rabid wolverine into my dick-hole than listen to that pompous crook hold court. Terry Gross wins in THAT particular competition, my friend.
