I'm pissed at IHSS, but I'm alive.

Once again, thanks for your support. Sometimes I feel lousy; sometimes I feel OKish. I'm sure it will take awhile to get past the lousy, but it will happen.

Now I want to help Andy, but my funds are so limited! :( For Andy, surgery is barely the beginning.

In truth, I think it's good for all of us, from time to time, to experience the utter helplessness of lying in pain on a hospital bed. It's a reminder that we are, in fact, human after all. It takes us back to our essential natures as beings of matter who bleed, urinate and void our bowels. Lying there, being unable to care about such things, takes away our artificial "dignity" and teaches us that we are all corporeal beings.

I apologize for typing under the influence, but the hospital was actually good for me in ways. I learned to care for my roommate, a retired Irish Catholic nun. It was a good experience.

I'm glad you can do that! I hope too that your problems with them are quickly resolved so you can concentrate on getting well...! Please take care...We all love and need you back, on a regular basis as soon as you are able...
