2. She's a talibornagain
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 10:09 AM by Oreo
Where is she now: (12/12/01)
After being lambasted in several National Inquire editions, she went on the Howard Stern show to reveal elements of her unhappy childhood. (Now, I understand doing that... but on STERN? Sheesh! Never for such a delicate matter!)...

Erin is currently married and living in California where she is a born again Christian. She has plans to write a book about her acting experiences, about her time on Happy Days and JLC. She also wants to resume her acting career.

Dya remember Buddy from Charles in Charge and 8 is Enough?
He now plays BibleMan...

3. I had never heard of this shit before!
"Bibleman"? LOFL! On the site it says that Bibleman fights "battles against the flamboyant villains of Darkness". "Flamboyant"? Good gods, I wonder what that means?

5. ain't that great?
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 10:52 AM by Oreo
I hadn't heard of it until my brain-washed nephews (sons of my fundie sister) told me about it. These are the same people that won't let them watch Harry Potter because it's about witchcraft.

They go to a bible school and their teacher is called their commander or some militaristic BS name like that.

6. They show clips of his videos every now and again on those
"Where Are They Now?" retrospectives. Looks pretty lame. I mean, as a Christian, I'm happy for them, but I'm reminded of one of C.S. Lewis's commentaries in "Mere Christianity" (and I'm paraphrasing here, folks) Something like: Feel joy in being a Christian. Take joy in being a Christian. But don't be a pain in the butt about it.

10. Don't you know it!
I, too, aspire to "flamboyant villain of Darkness" status. From now on, my name will be "Dhalgren, FVD"!

8. I caught Erin Moran on an entertainment show a little while ago
She sounded and looked quite insane. She was accusing someone in the Happy Days cast of having sex with her when she was a teen. She seemed very jealous of Ron Howard's success.

I actually saw a few minutes of "Bibleman" while channel surfing (it's on TBN). It is very lame-the production values are on par with that stupid syndicated show about the little girl robot that was on in the late 80s or early 90s. The only way kids are going to watch it is if their parents blocked out every other channel. I don't see it competing for their attention with japanese cartoons anytime soon.

Most of the christian shows that aren't talk shows or preachers from their pulpits are poorly acted and their sets are lamer than the ones on ABC soaps. Whether it's "Left Behind" or that old christian soap opera "Another Life" (which I'm partial too, because it was absolutely hilarious), the shows are cast with second rate actors (their christian commitment probably being a requirement to casting).

15. "I Don't Know, Dayyyyy...Veeeeeeeeeee....."
Back when I was growing up Catholic, the nuns at Sunday School used to tell us that it was a sin for us to watch "Davy and Goliath", because it was produced by the Lutheran Church.
