Anyone use this? I've heard other people say they really like it.

What's the scoop on the poop?

2. I'm using it...
Certainly, it's not perfect, but the minor imperfections of firefox far outweigh the security sieve that is IE.

3. I love it. I highly recommend it.
Websites are getting around the pop-up blocker a bit more, but it keeps the spyware at bay.

It truly doesn't get any better. Take it from someone who has tried pretty much EVERY browser on the market.

I love Firefox but I have one problem with it
Unlike Opera, FF does not increase the size of the images along with the text when you CTRL-scroll the mouse wheel.

If anyone knows how to fix this, please say so, because it's been bugging me for a while now and I'm about to switch back, as much as I like FF and all...

17. I'm not sure I understand why you'd want to do that.
If the images are resized beyond their original dimensions, they'll be distorted.

I love Firefox, but for some reason I keep calling it "Foxfire."

34. If you're using Firefox mouse gestures
(and everybody should be), you can easily increase the size of any image -- or make it go away for the time being.

30. Your're Right...
the 'plug-ins'(shockwave, Flash, multi-media launching, JS pop-ups that you want like login screens) have always been a problem with Mozilla/Firefox releases...but that is mainly because a lot of 'big time' sites author their pages for 'exclusive IE compatibility'

But the benefits, right click functionality and customization/extensions features truly outweigh the odd shortcomings--

Have not gone and will not go back to IE. I love the bookmarking of tabs which it allows you to do, and there are cool themes and other stuff you can download to personalize it. Love it!!

9. I love Firefox!
Love the no popups and I decide which cookies from which sites I accept.

It runs fast. I can do tabbed browsing, which means I can have several windows open for different Web sites all within one session.

Seperate download window remembers your last downloads so you don't have to go searching for them.

21. Considering the fact that you probably won't see a new IE until...
...the release of the "Longhorn" operating system (maybe at the end of 2006), and the fact that Micrsoft won't say whether or not they are working on tabbed browsing, I'd say Firefox is the current best bet.

I have the current version of Opera (8.0), and I still would not make it my primary browser. I depend on RoboForm (a plug-in that stores your logins in encrypted form and fills them in on "member" sites at the click of a button) and Opera STILL doesn't accept it. Yeah, Opera had the "magic wand" for this data, but it is NOT stored in encrypted form.

The reason we have to use IE to view certain sites is that's the way Microsoft planned it. They have no interest in developing a browser that will make people happy. They want to develop a browser that will lock you into using it if you want access to certain content.

Tabbed browsing, not vunerable to (at least the same) exploits as IE, and some cool addons. Seems faster to load to.

You can customize it with themes and plug ins.

35. Firefox ROCKS!
When I was using IE I used to get kicked off all the time and pop-ups were HORRIBLE no matter how many times I ran the anti-spyware programs. With Firefox I have NO problems. I don't even recall being unable to view a site because of it, which someone warned me might happen.
