Is there any drug, legal, of course, that makes exercise pleasurable? |
|
There are drugs for sex, for chillling, for focusing, for cheering up. Is there one that makes exercise fun?

3. Well...if you ask me, it's the exercise itself. |
|
I get a great feeling when I'm exercising - I guess it's what they call the "runner's high."
It's also important to pick something you enjoy. If it's tedious or boring, you won't keep up with it.

4. Yes...they're called endorphins. |
|
Even I, as out of shape as I am, feel great after a brisk walk. It's actually doing it that's tough.

A few years ago I lost 30 pounds and looked FANTASTIC.
There was no drug that made me feel as good as I felt after my daily 4 mile walk. It got to the point where I would climb the walls if I couldn't get outside to walk.
One afternoon it was so bad I got outside and walked in the pouring rain.
The only bad thing about endorphins-- you can't get them until you get STARTED exercising first!

8. not exactly a drug, but... |

the Dances of Universal Peace are, on one level, a form of exercise, and, on another, making you as high (if not higher) than any drug (this came from a Dancer who was a reformed drug addict). Might want to try it sometime.

I remember something about trees giving off low levels of intoxicants. You might feel good walking in the woods.
