For Red queen - pic heavy
Edited on Mon May-02-05 04:29 PM by HEyHEY
Here ya go ,you asked if BC was a nice place... here's some pics from different regions.

You could live in Nelson

Or somewhere else in the Kootneys - this is KImberely it's a wierd Bavarian town

Vancouver Island is nice

Watch out for these guys, they look small but actually he's about 400 pounds.

These neat trees dot the Van ISl landscape and are called Arbutus

Then there's My hometown of Vancouver

Perhaps you'd prefer Victoria - but all you'd find is that loser Canuckamok

Then there's my current home - THe Okanagan... the northern most reaches of the Maujve desert.

3. We call arbutus trees
Madrone trees. (Technically it is called the Pacific Madrone, Arbutus menziesii).

I once wrote an essay about an experience I had in a madrone grove. It detailed my first (and only) experience with dropping a certain drug and encountering these beautiful trees.

5. Oh, I think they are part of the same family
different subspecies or something like that.

We were on Hornby Island about two years ago (near Vancouver Island) and they had what they referred to as Arbutus trees.

Canada is a beautiful place. I'd love to live there.

7. Wow, HEy,HEy,
These pics are awesome! My husband and I have been to Vancouver Island/Victoria, but it was raining at the time. We have also seen the city of Vancouver, and loved it! Nearly moved up there; but it's too far from our families...Your pics really take me back to some wonderful places...
Thanks for posting them!
