How Many Of You Are In The Lounge As Refugees From The Flame Wars?
Edited on Tue May-03-05 06:17 PM by DistressedAmerican
I find it a good place to seek refuge for the most part.

How 'bout you? Are you a refugee? Did something in particular put YOU over the top and send you seeking SANCUARY?

There. Too cold to strap her on and walk up the hill right now. Pretty funny last time I did. Saw a lot of folks. She was a doll. Very chill.

Here's a taste from Easter:

Sorry you're not here today; it's just beautiful in Portland -- just got up to 70 degrees!

Seems like a moment ago that my daughter was that age. I used to push her carriage on East Third Avenue and 28th Street, New York City, NY.

My daughter turns 37 in October and is married to a doctor who was also born in October! We're all going to Hawaii to celebrate!

The biggest surprise for me was -- 14 months later, I had a son, who turns 36 years old in December.

Lots of fun -- now just memories!

In peace,

Radio Lady

7. I'm so misunderstood.

I get tired of people misreading posts- either mine or someone else's- and just going nuts! It distracts from what the topic of conversation was to being with.

I deal with children all day long. Adults should have a better grip on simple comprehension.

10. I Find That To Be A Huge Problem TOO!
You think you are posting something informational and reasonably non-controversial and all of the sudden you are defending yourself. Usually on from misread or something that is completely tangential to your point. Look away and you have been hijacked on some nonsense.

18. I read the title lines of 15 and 16 and thought... NO F-ing WAY!
I'm glad to see it was just DU humor and not stupidity run amuck.. I've seen bigger examples of irony... but not many.

11. I use it to decompress
Sometimes a sense of humor is lacking and vitriol runs rampant out there.

The lounge is a lovely respite from it all.
Casual attire. Kick off shoes. Relax.
:bounce:
A lot of your posts are hilarious.
I'm sure a bunch of you could be successfully doing stand-up.

Without some fun and humor (and a whole lotta music) I'd slit my wrists and pack it in.
All activists need a break from CSPAN, AirAmerica, reading, reading, reading.
Writing, writing, writing to congressthugs and papers...etc.

The lounge is much appreciated by me.
Especially when I have insomnia.
That's increased with each day/night the thugs are in power.

I'm glad it's here.

17. How dare you!
Hahahaha....just kidding.

But yes, sob, sniffle, I get SOOO misunderstood "out there" too. Nobody appreciates my, er, sense of humor.
Gotta laugh. Or else I'd die.

I have, since I hate people.

I read the other forums all the time though.
