Things you learned from TV
Well, tonight I learned that I've been saying "Thule Society" the wrong way for ages now. I said "THUL-ay", but I guess its "TOO-lay".

Yo Joe!

Ok, I learned that a piece of paper can only be folded 7 times and no more (or is it 5?) Mr Wizard taught me that and more. (I miss that show)

4. That people are treated like numb-minded imbeciles
Of course, as shows like "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Survivor" received very high ratings, we can conclude that people must indeed be numb-minded imbeciles. :-( :-( :-(

Sad, really...

5. Well... I guess I learn some misinformation, too.
I had an old episode of Frasier going in the background this evening while I put dinner together and I heard Frasier and Alison Janney (as his blind date) both pronounce the Italian painter Modigliani as "Moe-dig-lee-yawnie." It's "Moe-deal-yawnie."

7. You're a loser if you worry about people's feeling (Cheers)

Ghosts can assume solid form, which allows them to do things like open doors and drive a car. (Kolchak: The Night Stalker)

Every phone number in the United States begins with 555. (More shows than I can readily recall)

New York City taxicab companies close at night. (Taxi)

It's possible to run a full-time radio station with only two disc jockeys on staff. (WKRP In Cincinnati)

Most high school students are in their mid to late 20s. (Welcome Back Kotter)

8. Crest has been shown to be an effective decay-preventive dentifrice

when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care.

Now tell the truth - who else used to say this in grade school instead of the pleja lesions?

9. All problems in life resolve themselves in 22 to 44 minutes.
No matter how incredibly ugly and annoying a guy is, some utterly gorgeous, 100% supportive woman will marry him. And she'll never appear anywhere without perfect makeup and adequate foundation garments. She'll even sleep that way.

The more boring, vaccuous and self-absorbed you are, the louder the applause when you walk into a room.

Did I forget anything?
