So I've been wondering my my mail keeps getting later and later... |
|
It used to be here 10:45-11:30-ish. Now most days when I leave for work at 11:45, it's still not here. The mail truck is usually parked across the street on the next block, but no mailman in sight.
Well...
Just took the dog down, and today the mail truck was right in front of my house...with the sleeping mailmain in the driver's seat.
:wtf:
I guess that explains it, eh?

Some days our mail doesn't get here until 7:00 p.m. |
|
Numerous calls to the Post Office from my neighbors and myself have not caused any improvement. Yes, I have caught the mail person asleep in the vehicle in front of my house!

6. In one neighborhood of Portland, I always saw mailmen and |
|
mailwomen making their rounds at about 10AM.
However, the mail for our household never came till 4PM or later, except when our regular mailman was on vacation. Then it came at 10AM like everyone else's.
My housemates and I suspected that our regular mailman had a ladyfriend along the route.

8. And meanwhile, our town can't get home delivery |
|
so we have to go daily to the post office..deal with all the gabbing neighbors and find a place to park just to pick up our mail from our po box.
I have to say though..it's almost always in the box by 10:00am. When we lived in the city, it could come anytime..10:00am until 4:00pm or later.
By the way..have you ever wanted to use one of those air horns to wake someone who was sleeping when they're not supposed to be? I thought about it when our former police chief used to sleep in his cruiser. My son once had to wake him up to return a wallet he found.
